LANNY & PENNY STARTED THE PENLAN BREEDING PROGRAM
We purchased our first Miniature Schnauzer in 1959 and since then we have never been without one. We fell in love with the breed and wanted to become involved with breeding and showing. Our goal has been to produce Miniature Schnauzers that are healthy, with happy laid back dispositions and good quality in confirmation. We are strictly a salt and pepper bloodline. We do not have any other color.

We have had great success in the show ring winning championships on 200 plus Miniature Schnauzers of our breeding. We have owned and bred six all breed Best In Show Winners and have bred eight males who have achieved super sire status. We have owned and bred the #1 winning Miniature Schnauzer in the United States in 1988 with our Ch. Penlan Polarity and in 1998 with Ch. Penlan Pastatively. Many breeders have used our dogs as their foundation in establishing their own bloodlines.
Current News
Lanny and Penny are both licensed American Kennel Club dog show judges. We show our own Miniature Schnauzers in between judging assignments at AKC dog shows. Lanny was a past president of the American Miniature Schnauzers Club and Penny is a past board member.
